The Philodendron Black Congo features large leathery leaves spaced very close together on a single stem. Its juvenile leaves are a deep burgundy red-purple which ultimately matures to a dark glossy green. This low-maintenance and air-purifying aroid will be an interesting addition to the home or the office.
The Philodendron Black Congo can adapt to any environment as long as it is kept warm. It can survive in low light but it will grow faster and healthier in moderate to bright, indirect light. Always allow 50% of its soil to dry out between waterings. It will tolerate some degree of drought better than having its roots too wet.
This plant enjoys a good mist every few days to keep its leaves fresh, red and green.
Important to know: As plants are natural products, form, pattern and colour will vary.
