Considered as the queen of the indoor plant world, the Bird of Paradise is a popular pick for anyone wanting a tropical flair for their interior space. Its broad, arching, and banana-shaped leaves make a dramatic and tasteful statement piece.
When grown indoors, place the Bird of Paradise in a pot where it will get the most light. It does best with a regular watering schedule. About once a week will usually do the trick. The plant does not handle ‘wet feet’ so it safe to keep it on the dry side.
The Bird of Paradise blooms most abundantly when in full sun. Its flowers resemble brightly coloured birds in flight, hence the name.
