Feel the top inch of soil. Water only if it's dry — then water until it drains, and empty the saucer after 15 minutes.

Our humidity does a lot of the work — most indoor plants need less water than the label says. In the monsoon months, stretch the interval and always finger-test the soil first. Aircon rooms are the exception: they dry soil (and leaf edges) faster.
