Ficus Benjamina Starlight ‘Beauty Queen’ (Japan)

Elegant, refined, and lightly whimsical, the Ficus Benjamina Starlight ‘Beauty Queen’ (Japan) is a beautifully variegated form of weeping fig, loved for its soft cream-edged foliage and slender twisted trunk. Its airy crown and light-toned leaves give it a brighter, more graceful presence than standard green ficus, making it a lovely choice for homes that want something delicate yet still structured.

At around 60cm tall in a 15cm grow pot, this plant is a versatile mid-sized piece that works well on consoles, side tables, entry corners, or bright indoor spots. The twisted trunk adds a more decorative, styled look, while the variegated foliage helps lift and soften the space.

• Plant: Ficus Benjamina Starlight ‘Beauty Queen’ (Japan)
• Approximate height: 60cm
• Grow pot size: 15cm
• As this is a live plant, trunk shape, branching, fullness, and variegation may vary naturally from plant to plant

This plant comes in a standard nursery pot with nursery soil, which is suitable for growing and transport, but not always the best long-term setup for display and continued healthy growth.

We recommend repotting for:

• a neater decorative finish
• fresher soil conditions
• better root space over time
• a more complete styled look for the home

Repotting also helps elevate its presentation, especially for a more decorative plant like this with a shaped trunk and bright variegated foliage.

• Elegant cream-and-green variegated foliage
• Twisted trunk adds extra decorative character
• Light airy look that brightens the space
• A refined alternative to standard green ficus varieties

Variegated ficus plants are often associated with growth, harmony, balance, and gentle positive energy. The upright form represents steady progress, while the lighter foliage adds a softer, more uplifting feel to the space.

It is especially suitable for:

• living rooms
• entryways
• study corners
• offices
• reception spaces

The Ficus Benjamina Starlight ‘Beauty Queen’ makes a thoughtful gift for:

• housewarmings
• birthdays
• office openings
• congratulations gifts
• elegant greenery gifting

Its brighter foliage and shaped form make it feel especially giftable and decorative.

Plant Tips / Care

• Prefers bright indirect light
• Variegated foliage benefits from brighter conditions to maintain its colour well
• Water when the top layer of soil feels slightly dry
• Avoid keeping the soil constantly soggy
• Keep in a bright, airy location away from harsh direct afternoon sun
• Avoid sudden changes in environment, as ficus may drop some leaves while adjusting
• Trim lightly if needed to maintain its neat form

Some light leaf drop can happen when ficus plants are adjusting to a new environment, especially after transport or relocation. This is usually temporary as the plant settles in.
