Ficus Shivereana / Moonshine Rubber Plant

Fresh, unusual, and beautifully light in colour, the Ficus Shivereana, also known as the Moonshine Rubber Plant, is a striking variegated form of Rubber Plant with broad leaves washed in soft lime, green, and subtle mottled tones.

At around 50cm tall in a 30cm grow pot, this is a fuller, low-set statement plant that works beautifully on the floor, on a low stand, or in bright corners where you want something bold without being too tall.

Its lighter foliage gives it a softer, more contemporary feel compared to the classic dark Rubber Plant, making it especially suitable for modern, neutral, and Japandi-style interiors.

• improved stability and presentation

• Fuller plant shape without excessive height
• Great for modern and neutral interiors
• A distinctive choice for Ficus collectors

Rubber Plants are often associated with abundance, stability, steady growth, and prosperity. Their broad rounded leaves give them a grounded and substantial presence, while the lighter foliage of the Shivereana adds a fresher, more uplifting feel.

Great for:

• living rooms
• entryways
• workspaces
• reception areas
• housewarming gifting

The Ficus Shivereana makes a lovely gift for someone who enjoys more unusual foliage plants but still wants something timeless and easy to style.

Its soft variegation gives it a premium, design-forward feel that works especially well for housewarmings, office openings, and interior styling gifts.

Plant Tips / Care

• Prefers bright indirect light
• Brighter conditions help maintain stronger variegation
• Avoid harsh afternoon sun
• Water when the top layer of soil feels slightly dry
• Avoid keeping soil constantly soggy
• Keep in a bright, airy location
• Wipe the broad leaves occasionally to keep them clean
• Rotate periodically for more even growth

The mottled spots, lighter patches, and uneven green tones are natural variegation, not leaf damage. Each leaf develops slightly differently, which is part of what makes this variety special.
