DESCRIPTION
The Formosan Juniper (Juniperus formosana), a distinguished member of the Cupressaceae family, hails from Taiwan and southern China. This evergreen conifer is prized for its elegant, needle-like foliage and its adaptability to various growing conditions. Thriving in full sun, the Formosan Juniper can tolerate partial shade but performs best with ample sunlight. In Singapore's humid climate, it requires regular watering, typically 2-3 times a week, ensuring the soil remains well-drained and avoiding waterlogging. Moderately easy to care for, this juniper is suitable for those who can provide consistent light and watering. Besides its aesthetic appeal, the Formosan Juniper also contributes to improving indoor air quality by removing certain toxins. However, it is important to note that this plant is toxic to pets if ingested, so it should be kept out of reach of curious animals. Ensure it enjoys a sunny spot and well-draining soil for optimal growth. This resilient and attractive plant adds both beauty and health benefits to any space.
