Frangipani Plant

Tropical, sculptural, and beautifully fragrant when in bloom, the Frangipani is a classic flowering tree loved for its distinctive branching form and clusters of elegant, sweet-scented flowers. Even between flowering cycles, its strong stems and elongated leaves give it a relaxed, resort-like character.

At around 1m tall in a 21cm grow pot, this is a substantial young plant that works beautifully for sunny balconies, patios, landed homes, entrances, and outdoor garden spaces.

• Plant: Frangipani / Plumeria
• Approximate height: 1m
• Grow pot size: 21cm
• Fragrant flowering plant
• Flower colour, branching, bloom count, and flowering stage may vary naturally by batch

• Iconic fragrant tropical flowers
• Strong, sculptural branching form
• Creates an instant resort or tropical garden feel
• Loves sunny conditions
• Can develop into an impressive flowering feature plant over time

Frangipani flowers in seasonal or repeating flushes when growing conditions are suitable.

A typical cycle follows:

active growth → flower buds → flowering → spent blooms → new growth

Flowering performance depends heavily on sunlight, maturity, nutrition, and overall plant health. A newly relocated plant may also spend some time adjusting before beginning its next flowering cycle.

For stronger flowering and healthier active growth, we recommend using our Down To Earth Flowering Booster Food Spray during the growing and flowering period.

Regular feeding can help support:

• stronger bud development
• more consistent flowering
• healthier foliage
• better overall plant vigour

The plant comes in its standard nursery grow pot and soil, primarily suited for nursery growing and transport.

For a plant of this size, we recommend repotting into a suitable planter for:

• fresher soil conditions
• improved root space
• better stability as the plant grows
• a more polished finished presentation

Our in-house repotting service already includes fresh Down To Earth organic soil and the required repotting supplies.

Frangipani is often associated with renewal, vitality, warmth, and enduring beauty. Its fragrant flowers and tropical character create a welcoming, uplifting presence around entrances and outdoor living areas.

The Frangipani Plant makes an impressive gift for:

• housewarmings
• landed homes
• new business spaces
• milestone celebrations
• tropical garden lovers

Its ability to mature into a beautiful flowering tree gives it a lasting quality beyond a typical floral gift.

Plant Tips / Care

• Prefers full sun to very bright light
• Several hours of direct sunlight encourages stronger flowering
• Water thoroughly, then allow the upper soil to dry slightly
• Avoid prolonged waterlogging
• Good drainage is very important
• Appreciates warm conditions and good airflow
• Feed during active growth and flowering
• Light pruning can be used to encourage branching and maintain shape

Frangipani naturally goes through periods of stronger and slower growth. Depending on conditions, it may temporarily lose some leaves or look more bare between growth cycles — this does not necessarily mean the plant is unhealthy.

Flowers are also naturally seasonal, so plants may be delivered with flowers, buds, or without active blooms, depending on the current growth cycle.
