Though the exact origin of this cultivar is unclear, it is likely a hybrid of Philodendron species. This plant thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions, making it adaptable to various indoor environments. In Singapore's tropical climate, the Philodendron Rojo Congo should be watered once a week, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. Adjust the watering frequency based on humidity levels and season. While relatively easy to care for, this plant is toxic to pets if ingested, so it should be kept out of reach of animals.
