DESCRIPTION
With its broad, sensational and decorative leaves, the Calathea orbifolia is one of the trendiest variety of prayer plants. It is remarkable for its enormous, silvery-green leaves with striking dark-coloured veins. Its air-purifying qualities also adds up to the reasons why this is a very in demand plant.
Although it can be a little fussier than other Calathea types, this plant can thrive given proper attention and care. Its fine foliage loves plenty of diffused or medium, indirect light. Watering policy is ‘little and often’ as this prayer plant requires damp soil at all times. About once or twice a week will to the trick.
The Calathea orbifolia also requires high humidity so misting it at least once a day or placing it on a tray filled with clean pebbles in shallow water will help the plant maintain its health and beauty.
