Fibre clay planters are made from a mix of resin, fibres and clay. They’re not fired but are very strong when dried as a result of the layering of the different elements.
It’s a versatile material that can produce a wide range of finishes and is also waterproof and fairly crack proof. This combined with its fairly efficient production process make it a popular material for making planters, particularly large sized ones.
