DESCRIPTION
The Pilea peperomioides goes with several names including Chinese Money Plant, Pancake Plant, UFO Plant, Missionary Plant, Coin-Leaf Plant and Friendship Plant.
This plant was basically unheard of until it rose into popularity in 2017 through Instagram. The thick and perfectly round coin-sized leaves of this Pilea is what makes it an interesting pick. Each leaf is attached to the crown plant by a leaf stem that connects directly to the underside of the leaf, giving it an eccentric look.
The Chinese Money Plant is a low maintenance species that thrives in a bright spot away from direct sunlight. Typically, the plant will need once a week of watering when top 2-3 inches of soil has dried out or when its leaves start to droop.
